چکیده

The presenting symptoms of ocular myasthenia gravis are blepharoptosis and diplopia. These are the result of myasthénie weakening of the levator palpebrae and the extraocular muscles (external ophthalmoplegia), respectively." Blurring of near vision is a frequently as sociated symptom, which is due to a fatigue of accommodation (internal ophthalmoplegia)· Blurring of distant vision in ocular myasthenia is rare, however, and has been reported only twice in the literature,' to the best of our knowledge. In the two reported cases, this symptom was the result of a spasm of convergence and accommodation, the latter creating a spurious myopia or "pseudomyopia." It is our purpose to report a third case of pseudomyopia in ocular myasthenia, a case in which the pseudomyopia was a major and presenting sign of the disorder and was not associated with a spasm of convergence or accommodation.
